Lee Stranahan’s fans just love him. But nobody loves Lee Stranahan more than Lee Stranahan.
Stranahan’s friends know about the proof we have at BU that he was a con-man, scam artist, porno photographer and attempted pimp for his own wife. They forgive those obvious character flaws. But will they forgive Stranahan for turning to his sworn enemy, the bogeyman of the left whose name has been used to raise more money than Jesus Christ?
Will his fans and friends forgive him for asking Brett Kimberlin’s assistance in taking down Right Wing attorney, former lawyer to Aaron Walker, Dan Backer?
Yes, THAT Dan Backer.
The same Dan Backer that Stranahan reached out to for funding for a documentary only to be given the financial cold shoulder.
We have the e-mails.
In March 2014, Stranahan began a series of articles attacking Backer. To gather opposition research, he reached out to someone who had defeated Backer in court, Brett Kimberlin.
Note the date. March 3, 2014. It was the same day Stranahan posted this Tweet.
After getting help from Kimberlin, Strananan was quick to put the information to work.
Kimberlin told him where to look and Stranahan pretended he came up with the info on his own.
The Backer Attack did not find favor with Brandon Darby, the top dog at Breitbart Texas.
Stranahan found himself fired from Breitbart.com for his reportage on Backer.
Kimberlin expressed condolence and support.
No longer with Breitbart, Stranahan used his other avenues as well as his personal website to keep up the attack, using info provided by Kimberlin.
…it went on and on. Lee Stranahan carries a grudge like a new mother carries her baby.
His reporting did not go unnoticed or unappreciated by Kimberlin.
Time passed. Stranahan was rehired by Breitbart and got a seat in the White House Press Corps.
Then, Breitbart yanked his creds, and Stranahan quit again, this time landing at the Russian propaganda outlet, Sputnik.
It didn’t take long for Stranahan to find himself in the negative spotlight. Again.
With the investigative news hounds hot on his trail, Stranahan recalled the ancient adage, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend — until I don’t need him any more.”
He figured he could divert attention from his potentially traitorous work for a Russian Propaganda agency by utilizing the long-abused right wing pundit meme: BLAME KIMBERLIN.
The story below was authored, we suppose, by Lee’s son, Shane Stranahan. It didn’t work. Lee continues to be looked at with a jaundiced eye by agencies investigating whether or not he should be registered under the Foreign Agent Registration Agency.
He did accomplish something, though. He proved something that those who are not his fans have known for years.
When the going gets rough, Lee Stranahan turns on the people who helped him in the past.
Can such a person be forgiven by the Right Wing, let alone ever be trusted again?
