The spokesman for GOP Senatorial Candidate Roy Moore has apparently decided his immortal soul was more important to him than to continue lying for the accused child molester, endorsed yesterday by fellow-sex assaulter President Donald Trump.

According to “The Washingtonian, John Rogers has resigned as communications director from Roy Moore’s Senate campaign.

Reached by phone on Wednesday, Rogers confirmed his resignation. He declined to comment further.

The move comes as allegations of sexual misconduct against the Alabama Republican continue to roil his campaign. Moore has denied those allegations, but several prominent Republicans, including Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, have withdrawn their endorsements. The Republican National Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee have also dropped their support.

No word if Rogers feared his tongue would turn black and fall out of his head because of all the lying.

Further, the Washington Post reports the Moore campaign refuses to provide proof of an allegation made at a press conference recently.

The newspaper, which initially reported the accuser’s claims against Moore, asked for proof of documents the Moore campaign says show Leigh Corfman lived than a mile from the intersection where she said the candidate picked her up for dates in 1979, when she was 14 and he was 32.

“The Washington Post is a worthless piece of crap that has gone out of its way to railroad Roy Moore,” Brett Doster, a strategist for the Moore campaign, in an email he described as an “on the record” statement.

“There is no need for anyone at the Washington Post to ever reach out to the Roy Moore campaign again because we will not respond to anyone from the Post now or in the future,” Doster added. “Happy Thanksgiving.”
