@joelpollak Lee @Stranahan tweeted “not all rape is brutal”. Is this a stand you agree with? If not, you need to fire Stranahan immediately.
If he were a Holocaust denier, he’d be gone. No question. If he worked for a legitimate publication, that is. Defending RAPE? Even a low rent hack page like Breitbart.com has to draw the line SOMEWHERE!
Stranahan continues to argue that not all rape is brutal. To defend this ludicrous statement, he takes ONE definition of the word “brutal” meaning savage and violent, and IGNORES the other definitions…
From the MacMillan online dictionary…
cruel, violent and completely without feelings
not considering someone’s feelings
Stranahan also argues that since the VICTIM has not USED the word “brutal” in her depiction of events, then no one has the right to consider it to have been a brutal rape.
Stranahan has not explained how the intentional violation of a woman’s body against her will, or while unconscious and unable to give consent, can be anything BUT brutal, and his words send a very bad message to the readers of Breitbart.com.
As the boss, Joel Pollak needs to take action and immediately.
