Earlier today, Lee Stranahan posted this alert to all of @Liberty_Chick’s friends, asking them to kick in to help her pay for her current hospitalization.
Here’s what she wrote.
It’s usually not my style to prompt people to hit the Tip Jar (my Donate page). However, this month has been an extraordinary one for me. So, after a good deal of prompting from friends, I finally decided to post this message.
Some of my friends are aware that I’ve suffered with Lupus since being diagnosed 15 years ago. Creating awareness of the disease is a public advocacy effort of mine.
While usually manageable, once every few years or so, it can get extremely difficult. Unfortunately, that’s where I’ve been for a few months now. It’s been quite a roller coaster ride.
Recently, I had an unexpected ambulance trip to the hospital and some significant additional unexpected medical expenses … with still more to come. As most of you who are bloggers know, health insurance is hard to come by in this profession. I usually do just fine paying my own way, but as I’ve noted, these have been unusual circumstances of late.
I’ll continue to fight through the rough patches and carry on with my work no matter what. I always do. But as much of the “paid” work in the movement is only part-time and has been spotty lately, I really could use a hand right now. A good portion of my activism is done on my own time and at my own cost. It’s difficult for me to ask for help, and it’s rare that I do so. But at this time, I ask that if you enjoy my work and you find it useful, please consider hitting the tip jar.
I’ve come to make many friends in this movement over the years, and I remain always grateful for your support and encouragement – from old friends and new ones alike.

PS – Please also consider spreading awareness of this disease – there are 1.5 million other Americans with Lupus, and the Lupus Foundation of America reports that “awareness of the disease lags behind many other illnesses.”
Well. Imagine my shock. A CONSERVATIVE, asking for MONEY instead of RELYING ON HER OWN SELF SUFFICIENCY!!!

OK, I guess her ego won’t let her accept an object lesson on “compassion” from a liberal. Not for no measly $25 anyway. So…

All I can say is, apparently, beggars CAN be choosers these days. Either that, or she doesn’t need the money.
Fucking bitch. This is a scam. A long line of scams from Mandy Nagy. Her family has money. Her father is also a judge. She doesn’t want to ask her family for help but wants strangers on Twitter to pay her bills? There is a solution to all of this Mandy. Get off your fucking lazy ass and get a job! Pay your own fucking bills instead of feeling entitled to other people’s money.
That’s what “conservatives” say all the time. “Conservatives” CONSTANTLY say Liberals are lazy, don’t want to work, and want free things. But here’s Mandy who doesn’t really have a job, lazy, and expects free things. Most of her friends don’t have jobs either and are on welfare or collecting disability checks when they’re not disabled.
I’m all for helping people who need the help. Unlike “conservatives” who don’t want anyone to get help. But if “conservatives” need help, they start demanding money and expecting to get handouts. “Conservatives” don’t want anyone else to get any money because they want it all for themselves.
I remember reading one article a couple of months ago that said most people on welfare in the United States are Republicans living in red states. But the same trash constantly attack Liberals. So it’s Liberals who are working so their tax dollars go to feeding lazy “conservatives” to sit on their ass in front of a computer 24/7 claiming Liberals don’t have jobs.
Mandy isn’t sick either. This is all a scam to cover up for her recently defending the Steubenville rapists. Whenever anyone shoves that spotlight in that bitch’s face, she cries “rape” or she has her imaginary fake Lupus, fake back problems, and fake kidney problems.
Mandy & the rest of the Breitbart trash constantly said Neal isn’t Autistic, never had Lyme, was never sick, was never poor, and was never homeless. Even though Neal wrote about it extensively at Daily Kos. But this bitch expects us to believe her fables of fake “rapes” and fake “illnesses.” No one cares bitch! Get off your ass and pay your own fucking bills yourself!!
Has Bill ever really said anything against Mandy? He’s been after her friends Stranahan, Ali, Aaron, Mccain, and Frey. So what’s the problem? Mandy has all the money when she constantly travels. Why doesn’t she downsize, clip coupons, and move into a studio apartment to save money to pay her bills herself..
I feel for anyone with a chronic illness. However, given the history of Mandy’s peers (who she constantly defends the behavior of-including scams) I cannot, in good conscience give her money directly. There are many Lupus organizations that I would donate to for awareness and treatment, but directly to her? I’d need to see something more concrete than a plea on her website.
Aaron’s done that, McCain’s done that, Stranahan’s done that, Akbar’s done that, Patterico’s done that, and Backer’s done that. I apologize if I would be just a TAD skeptical about her being the next in line to beg for money directly. Aside from that, it’s disingenuous to ask for money but return it from someone for political disagreement.
She’ll probably say your motive was disingenuous (and it might have been), but money is money and it’s what she asked for. A helping hand is a helping hand.
The meth is flowing freely in New Jersey tonight. He also has a hard time reading Twitter timestamps too. But what do you expect from a tard. The more he speaks, the more he shows his guilt and his involvement from the very beginning.
While disability-check tards in New Jersey are still mumbling about Weeniegate, I’ve been trying to figure out all night how to disable Java from my browsers, why videos can’t be viewed, do I really need Shockwave, and installing & reinstalling every plug-in/add-on/extension a few dozen times to see what works or not. When Homeland Security tells you to disable java, just do it!! I’ll figure this shit out, hopefully by morning. Or just punch the computer. :-/
