President-elect Donald Trump continues to fill his cabinet with some of the most-rotten apples in the barrel of “deplorables.”

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), rejected by the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Reagan Administration because of racist statements he made and for falsely prosecuting black political activists in Alabama. In “Trumplandia,” that would naturally make him the choice to be the nation’s top law enforcement officer.

Donald Trump has chosen a white nationalist as his chief strategist and a white nationalist sympathizer as his pick for Attorney General. Like the Confederate general he is named after, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III has long been a leading voice for the Old South and the conservative white backlash vote Trump courted throughout his campaign. Sessions, as a US senator from Alabama, has been the fiercest opponent in the Senate of immigration reform, a centerpiece of Trump’s agenda, and has a long history of opposition to civil rights, dating back to his days as a US Attorney in Alabama in the 1980s.

Sessions will fit in nicely with Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, the white nationalist former CEO of Breitbart and National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, the retired Lt. General who never met a Muslim he didn’t want to send to Gitmo, who continues as a paid shill for the governments of Turkey and Russia.

With the talk of Sarah “Drill, Baby Drill” Palin being considered for Secretary of the Interior, Florida Gov. Rick “Medicare Fraud” Scott as head of Heath and Human Services, and Rudy “Nosferatu” Giuliani still skulking in the bushes lusting for the Secretary of State nod, one could be forgiven for thinking that President-elect Trump is intentionally packing his cabinet with incompetent boobs who will make decisions based on hatred of the constituents their agencies would be tasked to serve.
