Twitter erupted in derisive laughter last night when President Trump posted the following Tweet.

After some initial worry that the President had “done an Elvis” and shuffled off this mortal coil while seated on the throne with his cell phone in hand, in mid tweet, it became obvious that Trump either was interrupted in mid-Tweet and his usual go-to guy for “deleting Tweets” wasn’t around, or “covfefe” was a word in some secret language only Donald Trump knows.

Twitter exploded. We would be remiss to not admit that we joined the fun.

Thank goodness Sean Spicer was there to clear it all up for us at today’s truncated press briefing.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer drew widespread laughter from reporters when he insisted that President Donald Trump’s infamous “covfefe” tweet was not a misspelling.

After one reporter asked Spicer if “people should be concerned that the president posted somewhat of an incoherent tweet last night,” Spicer simply replied, “No.”

The reporter then asked Spicer why the misspelled tweet stayed up for so long.

“The president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant,” Spicer replied, which elicited laughter throughout the room.

Well. We’re satisfied. Nice to hear that the President isn’t losing his mind.

*cough!*
