Yes, the tax cuts were in fact for the rich as everyone knew. But Paul Ryan’s now deleted tweet about a secretary at a public high school getting 1.50 extra in her paycheck continues to get mocked all over social media.

Paul Ryan 1.50 Tax Cut Tweet

Say what you will about 1.50 and covering a Costco membership fee. But hey, she might be able to cover the yearly fee for the membership, but that doesn’t mean she will have anything left over to buy anything at Costco.

Of course speaking of getting extra money for the tax cuts. Paul Ryan got a 500k donation to his campaign coffers from the billionaire Koch brothers after he rammed the tax cut bill through the House. So there’s that of course. I mean on the one hand a secretary got one dollar and 50 cents, on the other hand, Paul Ryan got five hundred thousand dollars. Pretty interesting optics for sure, which brings to mind the quote: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one. Maybe Paul Ryan should think that one through before he goes off touting the enormous benefits of the 1 percent only tax plan.
