Politico Magazine just published a thoughtful piece about the “culture warriors” who were ready to storm Washington with the election of President Trump, focusing on the fading fortunes and influence of many of the more well-known players.
Way down toward the end of the story, a familiar name appears.

And that’s just a small part of the coverage Breitbart Unmasked has produced covering the antics and shenanigans of a small-time grifter who, according to Politico, is striving to make a name for himself as a hustling little Trumpista. Search the name Ali Akbar on this site, you get 12 pages of links about the convicted felon.
He was famous. Books were written about him.
But it wasn’t the sort of attention he so desperately sought.

Ali Alexander, a 33-year-old political operative who previously went by the name Ali Akbar, has become an increasingly prominent pro-Trump voice on Twitter and in video livestreams during which he rails against feminist lawyer Gloria Allred and lauds Kanye West. On the eve of the 2016 election, Robert Mercer donated $60,000 to a PAC that Alexander advises. Alexander, who identifies himself as black and Arab, brings a more new-age approach to the culture wars, calling himself an “interpreter of energy for this period.”
Akbar Alexander is nothing if not a shameless, slick little operator. If there is money to be taken from people trying to convince themselves that the Party of Donald Trump is not racist becaue — LOOK! KANYE!!! — Akbar will be there with his hand out and a self-satisfied sneer of contempt on his face.
It worked for a long time. He made some, shall we say… interesting contacts?
Why shouldn’t it work again?
Akbar Alexander says he was with GAB from the start, but as of April 2018, the “free speech platform” seems to have lost some of its luster for him.

Still, he certainly isn’t above using a little Jew-baiting on Twitter when it suits him.
Jake Tapper, who is a Jewish left-leaning journalist who works at CNN, was obsessed with packages that could not detonate and the tragic Synagogue shooting but dismissed the FL GOP shooting today. Called it simple “vandalism.”

Ali Abdul Razaq Akbar, whatever he calls himself, is the embodiment of the old adage about fools and their money being parted. As long as he is only ripping off conservatives and #MAGA meatheads, we wish him nothing but success.
