So, it’s Friday. I’m taking my shower. All is right with the world. Shower’s done, all dried off, hair (such as it is) dried and brushed, all dressed for the day, and the tenor of Election 2016 may have been set on its ear during that brief period of time.

The FBI will re-open its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, bureau director James Comey said in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday.

(Comey’s letter said nothing about reopening the investigation which, technically, was never closed. — Ed.)

“In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation … I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation,” he wrote.

This is the same FBI director James Comey who was roundly spanked by Trump supporters and others last July when he said Clinton had been “careless” in her use of a private e-mail server during her stint as Secretary of State.

However, let’s look at the letter in its entirety.

Does the letter say the FBI HAS FOUND NEW CLINTON E-MAILS?

No. It does not. It says the FBI has learned of the existence of e-mails that appear to be pertinent to the private server investigation.

But let us not allow that to prevent us from jumping to conclusions, right NBC?

No. The FBI did NOT say that. Right, Guardian UK?

No. Nobody said they are newly found Clinton emails.

“…the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation…”

In connection with an unrelated case? What was the case? Was it Wikileaks? Were these emails found in Vladimir Putin’s bottom desk drawer? (I hear he hardly ever looks there.)

The Washington Post will get the facts straight, right?

NO! The FBI director says they have “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation…” That is a FAR cry from “We found the smoking gun and it has Vince Foster’s blood all over it.”

A thought.

If the FBI just LEARNED of the EXISTENCE of emails that APPEAR to be pertinent to the investigation, why splash it all over the Internet and Cable Networks with INCORRECT HEADLINES designed to inflame passions? Why not wait a day or two until the FBI can REVIEW the emails and DETERMINE whether they are pertinent?

Well… draw your own conclusions. I have MSNBC on in the background as I write this. And they are interviewing NOBODY but Trump supporters. Imagine what they’re doing on FOX News and CNN.
