It’s hard to say for sure, but Attorney General Jeff Session has either offered his resignation to President Trump or the AG is having a massive hissy fit.

The Hill reports:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently suggested he might resign amid rising tension between with President Trump, according to a new report.

The rift stems from Sessions’s decision in March to recuse himself from the probe of possible ties between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia, a decision Trump was unaware of until minutes before it occurred.

ABC News reported Tuesday that Sessions, one of Trump’s earliest backers on the campaign, even floated his resignation at one point.

The ABC report does not specify when or where Sessions made the remark about resigning, or to whom it was made.

Sessions recused himself in March from any federal probes into Russian election meddling following reports he did not reveal past meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during 2016 at his confirmation hearings in February.

Earlier today Press Secretary Sean Spicer refused to say whether or not the AG still had the President’s full confidence.

“I have not had discussions with him about that,” Spicer said during his daily press briefing. “If I have not had a discussion with him, I tend not to comment on it.”

And on it goes…
