Cliven Bundy’s Neighbors Are Fed Up With His Friends: Congressman Horsford On Maddow

Rachel Maddow talked to congressman Steven Horsford, whose district includes the town of Bunkerville, last night. Even though Cliven Bundy’s confrontation with the federal government ended weeks ago, the motley crew of ‘patriot’ militias, Oath Keepers, and sovereign citizens that assembled to defend him from the tyranny of grazing fees has not disbanded. In fact, they have reportedly begun setting up checkpoints, calling for civil war, and squabbling among themselves. We do not see this matter as an isolated incident, but an echo of what happened when white supremacists tried to carve out am ethnic enclave in Leith, Idaho two years ago, terrorizing local residents. Congressman Horsford had an unambiguous message to deliver to the Bundy insurrectionists: “it’s time for them to leave.”
